Clerys, Dublin

Clerys Quarter is a major mixed-use redevelopment of the historic former Clerys department store located on O’Connell Street in the heart of Dublin city centre.

The original neoclassical building, famously constructed in 1853 and rebuilt in 1921 following the 1916 Rising, has been carefully restored to integrate heritage conservation with modern retail, office, and dining spaces, creating a landmark destination that blends history with contemporary urban life.

We were appointed to deliver a comprehensive interior wayfinding signage package throughout the development, with a strong focus on accessibility, clarity, and integration within the sensitive architectural environment.

Scope of works

Interior

– Full wayfinding signage throughout all floors
– Raised ADA-compliant tactile text and braille signage

The signage system was designed to provide clear, inclusive navigation across the entire building while respecting the architectural significance of the restored structure. Using durable materials and precise detailing, the solution ensures seamless legibility and accessibility, enhancing the visitor experience throughout this landmark redevelopment.
